This Wednesday (7th Sept. 2022) our Institute organized a hybrid conference on the current issues facing Indo-Nepal relations. Nepalese Scholar Mr. Santosh Poudel focused on the latest US activism in South Asia with regard to pressuring her to sign SPP. Indian panelists, Dr. Dhananjay Tripathi, Dr. Shantesh Kr Singh, Dr. Nihar Ranjan Das, and Dr. Mansi took a holistic view of the overall Indo-Nepalese relations and expressed positive views about its future course of development. The scholars unanimously opposed any unilateral attempt by the U.S. to coerce the Himalayan kingdom into entering into any type of pact in the guise of MCC or SPP.
